Premiere of MajiMaji play at Planten und Blomen

In collaboration with the media producer Habibu Diwali from the AjabuAjabu collective, the Kigamboni Community Center from Dar Es Salaam, the Playbackbühne Jenfeld and the Salon International, a moving theater production about the MajiMaji war is being created.
Together we will ask ourselves the following questions: What stories connect the people of Hamburg and Dar Es Salaam to this day? What emotional wounds remain - and how can a new consciousness emerge that questions and retells history with a postcolonial perspective?
Premiere on 28.06.2025 at 7 pm in the music pavilion "Muschel" in Planten und Blomen - as part of the city partnership festival Hamburg - Dar Es Salaam.
