Have you ever wondered what stories the streets, buildings and squares in Jenfeld tell?  

We cordially invite you to explore the colonial traces in our district together with us and experts! 

 

Together with neighbors:Inside the Jenfeld district, we want to develop postcolonial tours. You will become a tour guide yourself, to show interested people from Hamburg your district to and to show the history(ies) of a postcolonial Jenfeld to tell.
Your tour can be customized! Whether you write poems, read something aloud or show off your musical skills want to use your musical skills. We support you with our experts both in terms of content as well as in the elaboration.

Reading in the Jenfeld book hall

Fancy exciting discussions about colonialism, history and identity? 

In our Postcolonial Book Club, we read fiction and non-fiction together and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.

It's not about specialist knowledge - everyone is welcome! We want to think about books in a relaxed atmosphere, learn from each other and discover new perspectives.

Tanzania-Park AG

Every last Tuesday of the month we come together in our Tanzania Park AG in an open meeting and talk about current developments regarding the park, plan actions, exchange ideas and think ahead. Everyone is welcome, no prior knowledge is necessary!

We need every perspective and are therefore happy to hear from anyone who would like to contribute.

Marc Agten aka Sherlock F

After each park tour with Marc Agten aka Sherlock F, there is the opportunity to take part in a rap workshop! If you feel like it, you can try it out and create your own "conscious rap".

The youth culture of rap has now reached adulthood: Members of all ages are welcome to take part in this workshop! 😉

Education and school

In the area of education and schools, we are happy to work together with schools. We offer workshops and tours and are open to collaborations to develop new formats together. In this way, we want to teach pupils more about history and culture in a creative way and find new ways to involve young people in our projects in a participatory manner.
