28 Nov Kigamboni meets Jenfeld: cultural exchange 2024
The Kigamboni Community Center, a music, acrobatics and theater group from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and the Jenkitos, a theater group from Jenfeld, Hamburg, met as part of a special intercultural exchange.
What followed was an intensive and inspiring encounter in which they not only rehearsed together, but also developed a completely new piece in a very short space of time. This collaboration was characterized by creativity, mutual learning and an extraordinary community spirit. The highlight of the exchange was a rousing performance that made the audience feel how art can connect and enrich different cultures. This project was more than just a collaboration - it was a dialog between worlds.
